We discuss Pixar's hit movie, Coco, and its cultural impact in Mexico, and across the world. The film features a mostly Latino cast, and an incredible soundtrack in both Spanish and English. The colorful movie about El Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), not only received an Oscar for Best Animated Film, but also took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Remember Me”. In this episode we talk about the spooky holiday along with the film's very catchy and lively latin styled music.
